Molecular Biology

Molecular Biology I and II courses are devoted to the introduction to biology, chemistry and biochemistry, as well as such topics as DNA replication, transcription and translation, structure of DNA, types of mutations, basics of genetics etc.

Main goals:

1. The study of the main expressions of life: cell biology, metabolism, transmission of genetic information and variability at the molecular level
2. Study of laws of individual organism development: general embryology, postembryonic development, aging process
3. Study of evolution of living matter: evolution of organisms, interaction between organisms and environment, principles of systematics of living beings
4. Fundamentals of microbiology, immunology and development of cancer
